Dorena Lake

June 5, 2010 ABA North Tournament at Dorena Lake

Just a few miles south of Eugene, Oregon lies one of the best bass lakes in the Pacific Northwest. Some may argue that Dorena doesn't stand up to the coastal lakes that constantly kick out 5 bass limits for over 20 pounds but in June 2010 a mark was hit at Dorena that caused quite a stir. Chris Carpenter and Travis Glass came to the ABA scales with a big fish over 8 lbs and an unreal 5 fish limit over 37 pounds! It is hard to imagine that mark being beat in any one day tournament. Dorena has to be on the map for any bass angler who wants to catch a trophy bass. Clear water makes this a very diffucult place to fish on clear blue sky days but an early season cloudy day can kick out bass most people have only seen in magazines.
